Diane von Furstenberg is bringing her legendary sense of print and color, as well as her confidence and boldness in mixing unexpected patterns and scales, to an exclusive collection of fabrics for Kravet.
“Design your life! Love, Diane”
Von Furstenberg’s first fabric collection for Kravet is the perfect way to bring high fashion home. Incorporating the iconic designer’s signature bold animal prints, such as Spotted Cat and Funk Zebra, the collection has a strong foundation in black and white with pops of color. Geometric and abstract prints are also featured, for an eclectic blend designed to be mixed and matched. Color palettes range from berry and orange jewel tones inspired by the sunsets in Rajasthan, to azure blues that recall the Caribbean sea, and desert-inspired neutrals in sand and stone.
The collection also includes custom designed trimmings to accent the fabrics with an exotic edge true to von Furstenberg’s renowned aesthetic.
Look for these fabrics showing up in several new RGI designs next season.

Just as you finally designed your home with that state-of-the-art television out comes the “curved” TV. This year they are all the buzz at the consumer electronics show and without a doubt will start showing up in some RGI designs very soon.
So what is a curved TV? Essentially it is a gently curved flat screen TV display featuring equal distance from all parts of the screen to viewer lines of site. Wherever you may be sitting, there’s no distortion.
In my field a TV is not just an electronic device, but also an essential piece of furniture that can drastically change the look of a home. Soon our design team will be working away on renderings that capture this form function creating some exciting interiors in viewing areas this year.
This private residence in the community of Mediterra was recently completed by Renée Gaddis Interiors. The client requested a more transitional space with unique uses of wood and stone.

In my field, I often come across outfitted rooms that appear to be missing that one single thing that defines the space. Metallic colors can take that room from just so-so to amazing but the question remains, how do I use it?
Traditionalists say you should not mix your metals; however, with today’s design trends, mixing old with new is in vogue and the accent of choice is gold. Yes, gold is back in a big way, and with the right lighting, you can create rooms that shine with quality that is hard to do accomplish with traditional finishes.
Below are some examples of inspirational designs I have come across recently that fit the trend.
Vintage trunks are unique pieces that add a bit of flair to your design. They can work best as end tables or decorative pieces in your bedroom, living room, library or study. Below are some RGI finds that we think would look amazing in your home.

I love these vintage trunks from the Golden Age of Travel. Steamer trunks such as the one above were common sights at railway stations and major docks around the world.

Military Trunks come in various shapes and sizes. They have plenty of character and create nice conversation pieces. I personally would look for ones with some slight rusting and worn metal in designs such as the one above.
English Polished Steel steamer liner trunk
Below is a rare find but if you were lucky enough to get ahold of one these it would make an amazing statement in your study.
